We believe that types of printing may seem like science fiction, especially if you are just starting to build your story and brand. Choosing the right print for your product depends on the material, the quality you want to sell, and the method of sale. It’s important to consider multiple aspects before deciding which print is perfect for you.

Piece-by-piece or bulk sale
Some brands, like our creator Pišem ti po zidu, offer a wide variety of visuals for customers. Pišem ti po zidu decided to sell individually because it’s impossible to know which visuals will be more popular. To meet customer needs, they chose individual sales. In practice, this means the brand uses digital printing since it allows applying visuals simply and at a reasonable cost. For example, for merch for faculties with larger orders – over 70 pieces – we can showcase the screen printing technique. Screen printing is more cost-effective for large orders and guarantees excellent print quality that lasts through many washes, even up to two years.

Types of printing
DIGITAL PRINTING
Digital printing is a modern printing technology that transfers the desired motif onto paper using a laser-based photocopying process. It greatly simplifies printing because it allows small and medium print runs without creating films and plates, unlike offset printing. Advantages include small runs, speed, print quality, and custom design.

SCREEN PRINTING
Screen printing uses a mesh stretched over a frame where the desired motif is recorded. Pulling ink across the mesh allows fine particles to pass through onto the target surface, leaving the desired print. The inks used in screen printing are very durable and maintain richness on almost any hard material such as plastic, metal, wood, rubber, glass, ceramics, and textiles.
Screen printing is most commonly used for t-shirts, bags, backpacks, caps, pouches, and other promotional items when conditions allow.

HEAT TRANSFER PRINTING
Each application requires a specific transfer technology depending on the material. Heat transfer printing is a simple technique for decorating various textile and non-textile materials by adhering designs through heat. This method is mostly used for transferring designs onto textiles using various heat and print/cut films, either printed or cut from rolls.

Products using this technique
Heat transfer printing is commonly used in the sports industry for printing names, numbers, or logos, in fashion for decorating various fabrics with different types of films, including glitter and stretch films, flex and flock films, various effect films, and fluorescent or reflective materials, among others.
