Do you know the official term for clothing that is sustainable, protects the environment, helps the community, and is good for your skin? Organic cotton!
Organic cotton is a major positive change in the fashion world, bringing various benefits. By purchasing it, you do good for yourself and others. It’s also ideal for children: softer and gentler on the skin with a hypoallergenic effect. Before the chemical revolution, cotton was grown naturally, but today the story is very different. Only 1% of cotton is organic while most of the industry uses GMO cotton. There’s a big difference, and here are some important reasons why wearing organic cotton is beneficial and why building your brand on this philosophy is a smart choice.

Starting with the economy and how it affects working conditions worldwide
If you decide to create a design to sell, visuals your Instagram followers will love, have you considered the quality of your product – a t-shirt or hoodie? Throughout all stages of organic cotton cultivation, textile production, and garment manufacturing free from toxins, the benefits go directly to the producers and workers. Unconventional cultivation and production allow for healthier working conditions, cleaner water, and more fertile soil in the surrounding environment.

Directly promoting the “green” economy
Raising awareness of the benefits of organic cotton clothing can encourage positive economic changes and strengthen care for nature. Additionally, greater demand creates more supply. Choosing and buying such clothing supports “greener” jobs, helps preserve water, soil, and air quality, and provides healthier, safer everyday moments for the youngest members of society.

Skin breathes with organic cotton
Plastic, synthetics, elastics… these materials are the worst enemies of skin and nature. By choosing organic products, including clothing, we allow the body to breathe. Organic cotton is grown without toxins, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers. Weeds are removed manually, and pest control relies on “good” insects, such as ladybugs. Yes, ladybugs. These cultivation methods yield textile materials free of harmful toxins that could irritate sensitive skin.

How to properly care for organic cotton clothing
While cotton is a great choice for all these reasons, it also has minor drawbacks. Cotton wrinkles, can form pilling after multiple washes, and may fade over time. Proper washing and ironing are key. A small tip: iron cotton clothing at level 2. Before washing, sort laundry by color and wash similar items together. Always check the label for the recommended temperature. Organic cotton does not require high temperatures since it’s natural, usually washed at 30–40°C. We recommend air-drying and avoiding tumble dryers for organic cotton.
Organic cotton in our range is certified – OCS
Our organic cotton is certified according to the Organic Content Standard (OCS). Whenever you see a product labeled BIO COTTON, OCS ensures that the cotton’s journey is carefully monitored from source to finished product. We hope organic cotton has won you over, as it will undoubtedly shape the future of the fashion industry.
