In the world of fashion, creating your own brand is a journey full of challenges, inspiration, and creativity. We spoke with Marco, who is behind the brand uvikontra.islandattitude. We had a wonderful collaboration with Marco in creating and producing T-shirts for his brand.
By collaborating with the Blue Frame, Marco had the opportunity to explore his limits and convey his passion for the island of Hvar onto the T-shirts that became an authentic expression of the uvikontra brand's identity.

Let's find out how Marco saw this collaboration and what exactly we did for him.
Blue Frame: Marco, welcome and thank you for taking the time for this short interview. Tell us a little bit about the uvikontra brand.
☆ Marco (uvikontra): Thank you for having me. Making my own t-shirts has always been a great passion and desire of mine, and that's how the idea for the uvikontra brand came about.
I wanted to combine my unique design style with the spirit of the island of Hvar and its rich history. Hvar holds a special place in my heart, and I believe its history and culture are extremely important and interesting. I wanted to create visuals that would highlight that uniqueness in a way that's different from the usual "I love Hvar" tourist t-shirts.
Blue Frame: Regarding the collaboration process, can you tell us more about how it all worked?
☆ Marco (uvikontra): The collaboration with the Blue Frame was very straightforward. What I like most about working with you is that I can handle everything in one place. From sourcing the t-shirts to printing, shipping, and all the other aspects.
First, the guys from the Blue Frame helped me choose high-quality t-shirts that reflected my brand's aesthetic. They also looked at my visuals and listened to my wishes, advising me on the best type of printing so the shirts would be exactly how I wanted them. It was a huge help having their advice, as I'm not very familiar with the different types of textile printing.
Together, we went through the different t-shirt options to choose the best ones. I didn't know much about it, so Filip and Tomislav were a great help and really advised me on the best choices. Of course, it was important for me that we chose the ones that best suited my design. We also paid close attention to details like small patches and labels, which is very important to me because I'm also very detail-oriented about these things.
Blue Frame: Shipping speed is often key for customers. How would you describe your product delivery?
☆ Marco (uvikontra): The delivery was surprisingly fast. The idea had been around before, but we started planning and executing it in June of this year (2023), and by July, I already had the finished t-shirts with my logo, visuals, and everything I wanted at my address on the island of Hvar.
Blue Frame: Where can your shirts be found and how can interested customers get them?
☆ Marco (uvikontra): My t-shirts can be found on the beautiful island of Hvar, in one boutique in the town of Hvar and another in Stari Grad. You can find all the additional information on my Instagram profile.

Blue Frame: Lastly, can you tell us something about your future plans for the uvikontra brand?
☆ Marco (uvikontra): As for the future plans for the brand, we're starting the process of creating a new collection and new visuals for winter, which will be available by next summer. In addition, we're hoping to expand the brand and we have big plans.
This was only the first year, so we have a lot more work ahead of us. And I'm especially looking forward to future projects and collaborations with you, Blue Frame.
