As the name suggests, the author Marco Perić will always strive to present himself to you in a satirical, unusual, and creative way! He does this successfully through various visuals and collages, whose motifs vary. We provide more about the designer himself and his brand in today’s blog.
Who is behind the “Pol Ure” brand?
An islander, more specifically from Hvar. I graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Design in Zagreb and Florence. I’ve been doing this for about 7-8 years. Besides that, I work in tourism and the nautical industry, spending my summers on the island and my winters in Zagreb. I play various sports, mainly soccer, swimming, and water polo.
How and when did your idea come about?
The idea came about back in college. I was constantly thinking that I’d love to make my own t-shirts someday. I’d write down the ideas in a notebook or wherever I could, and I’ve recently started to bring some of them to life.

Where do you find inspiration and how do you choose your designs?
I find inspiration everywhere around me. When I hear or see something that could be a funny or cool design for a t-shirt, I remember it or write it down, and then I develop it later. First in my head, and then on the computer. I choose the designs easily; they’re often the first things that come to mind.
How much does your daily life influence your work? Are you preparing new designs or themes?
My daily life has a big influence on my work, both positively and negatively. I get a lot of ideas from my surroundings, but the problem is that my schedule is very packed, and I don’t always have the free time to create something for myself in peace. I always have things prepared in my head; I can come up with something funny very easily and quickly. I’m just the type of person who can’t stick to one thing consistently, so I get bogged down with everything, but I don’t mind.

How did Blue Frame help you develop your idea?
Blue Frame helped me because I don’t have to worry about sourcing materials, printing, shipping, and returns. That’s a big investment for me to make right now. This way, I create the design, Blue Frame prints it and ships it. The process is made easier for someone who doesn’t have the means to start completely on their own and while they’re still seeking validation.
How long have you been working with Blue Frame, and what would you advise our future Creators?
I’ve been in business since the winter of 2020, when I launched on the Blue Frame web shop. My message to future Creators is that this is a great way to showcase their work, build confidence, try to establish themselves through their creations, and eventually start earning money from them.

In the future, would you like to offer something other than t-shirts, hoodies, and posters?
In the future, I’d love to have my own shop with a variety of different items that come together to create a boutique with a special vibe, where styles closely connected to my own (work) can be unified. I might be stepping outside of some boxes there, because, after all, that’s what’s working today, but slowly, step by step.
